Vienna is history - wherever you stand or go, there is a story to tell and I would like to walk along these stories with you. See from where our emperors ruled their empire for over 600 years. Walk through narrow, medieval streets, learn why St. Stephen's Cathedral never got its second tower finished and why there was a legal dispute over Sacher cake that lasted until the 1960s. And yes, Vienna is the city of music and art, but we also had our share of the dark side. For all the beauty of the sights, we will not forget to talk about the period when Austria disappeared from the map and Vienna became a significant part of Nazi Germany. Because this is our heritage and all of it has contributed to making Vienna the great place it is today. It's your turn now to explore the city. As a true Viennese I would be happy to show you my special places and to share a few moments with you to take home as a lasting memory of your stay in Vienna.
Suggested Itinerary: - Burgtheater: a cultural institution - Volksgarten: Roses, a temple and an empress - Hofburg: the centre of power for over 600 years - Kohlmarkt: where the imperial court already went shopping - Judenplatz: the history of Vienna's Jews - Hoher Markt: Romans and an art nouveau clock - Graben: a boulevard to see and be seen - Stephansplatz: the heart of the city - Fleischmarkt: Art Nouveau and Greeks - Schwedenplatz: Danube Canal and ice cream All my tours can be customized, please feel free to contact me if you have any questions
