Guide #23603
**Hi there! I’m Steve – or Sang Gil LEE if you prefer my Korean name.** I’m a certified tour guide licensed by the Korea Tourism Organization. I absolutely love sharing the stories, flavors, and hidden gems of Korea with visitors from around the world. I’ve led various kinds of tours — from the mythical landscapes of volcanic island, to slow food adventures in local cities, peaceful walks through thousand-year-old mountain monasteries, and even intense yet fascinating visits to the DMZ. (yes, the world’s most heavily guarded border between North and South Korea!). Before becoming a full-time guide, I used to work as a TV producer at MBC, one of Korea’s major networks. I also taught animation at a university, and way back, I was even a military officer stationed at the DMZ. Later, I worked as a VP at KOCCA, a cultural agency under the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. Thanks to this wide range of experiences,I can give you not just the history and culture of Korea, but also a behind-the-scenes look at today’s society, media, and even pop culture if you're into that. Sharing Korea’s cultural heritage with visitors from around the world is one of my greatest passions. I'd love to show you the real Korea — whether you're intrigued by centuries-old palaces, captivated by the grace of a traditional monk dance, curious to explore vibrant local markets and hidden bamboo trails, or simply looking to enjoy an unforgettable night of amazing local food and drinks. And yes — I know plenty of hidden gems and local restaurants that even many locals haven’t discovered. Just tell me your preferences and budget — I’ll take care of the rest. I’ve traveled quite a bit myself — lived and explored places like the US, Canada, UK, France, Spain, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Austria, Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Cambodia, Vietnam, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Japan. So I totally get how it feels to be a traveler in a new place. Most of all, I’d love to help you experience the warm hospitality of Korean people, the beauty of our landscapes, and the rich culture we’re so proud of. Let’s explore Korea together — and have a great time doing it! In Korea- nature sings, history breathes.
